Beeswax Ornament "Loved" - Pair of Frogs in Heart

$10.95

Beeswax ornament "Loved” is a 100% pure beeswax ornament to adorn your space.

Do you know someone that loves frogs or someone that needs a reminder they are LOVED!

Here is a unique, fun way to let them know you are thinking about them. Or add to their frog collection.

What a pretty reminder of the bees.

Your choice of wax used from the honey frames or the brood frames.

Honey frame wax varies in shades of yellows, from light to dark with a natural honey scent. This is naturally scented with a sweet honey aroma.

The brood frame wax is dark in color and needs to have a fragrance added since the reaming aroma isn’t as nice as the natural honey. So your choice of cinnamon or pine for the dark wax. The fragrance will fade overtime as it is only used to mask the odor of the brood wax and allow the use of the beautiful color!

What a great keepsake for a friend, child, neighbor or animal lover.

Decorate your space with nature.

Perfect ornament to hang ANYWHERE around the home all year round! These are great personal area fresheners as the sweet honey aroma will tickle your nose. The sun from a window or heat from the room will help dissipate the aroma. It is not a room freshener but this is an added benefit to beeswax.

These are meant to be displayed all year long, even tho they began as a Christmas tradition many centuries ago, beginning in the German Christmas markets

100% Beeswax ornament to be enjoyed year round or just during the holiday's. The choice is up to you. This ornament is made from rendered honeycomb beeswax. The color of the ornament depends on the beeswax and the nectar the bees collected when producing the honey. Beeswax melts at approx. 143 degrees and will be perfectly fine in your home and normal living conditions. Like honey, beeswax lasts forever. All pure beeswax will produce a "bloom" over time which can be wiped away with a soft cloth or even the warmth of a gentle finger will remove the white coating. This is the same thing that happens to chocolate over time. If storing ornaments after the holidays avoid keeping in hot environments like attics and garages. The constant temperature change will damage the details eventually. The best part of this product is it is 100% natural. The natural honey and beeswax scent is out of this world.

I love to hang these in my window. The sun helps warm the bar and release a lovely honey (beeswax) aroma. They also are enjoyable hanging from a curtain rod, ceiling light, lamp pull, bedpost, shower rod, etc.

The tradition of beeswax ornaments goes back many centuries.

Beeswax ornaments date back to the middle ages and were a staple item at the German Christmas markets before glass ornaments. German bakers would use their Springele cookie molds to create stunning beeswax ornaments and then sell them to the customers to hang on their trees.

These also make great favors for showers and weddings. I have molds for specific occasions and celebrations.

I am always on the hunt to find unique molds. The strangest item can make a wonderful mold, with a little imagination. My offerings will continue to grow as I secure molds of my liking that I can pass along to you as a finished beeswax ornament. The more detail the better! Remember, all real beeswax develops a white powdery coating, called bloom. It is a harmless substance that can coat your wax at any time, it is said to occur from the changes in the chemical makeup of the beeswax when it is heated and then cooled. It is almost the same as when honey crystallizes. So many nectar substances; glucose and fructose, that the crystallization comes out as bloom on wax. It is the wax patina. Some prefer to leave this just like you would the patina of a fine antique. Others prefer to wipe the bloom off the wax. This happens also to pure beeswax candles.

I prefer to use my hairdryer on medium or high setting for about 5 seconds to "freshen" the wax and remove the bloom. The heat from the dryer helps release the honey scent of the wax.
