We all know someone that LOVES sunflowers! Such a pretty addition to a window or other place in your home, or office!
I love to hang these in my window as the warmth of the sun helps release that wonderful natural honey scent. They also are enjoyable hanging from a curtain rod, ceiling light, lamp pull, bedpost, shower rod, etc.
Note: All ornaments will be zapped with the hair dryer before shipment to ensure the freshest looking and smelling ornament upon arrival.
Perfect ornament to hang on your Christmas tree or ANYWHERE around the home during the holiday's and all year round!
The details are magical and the natural fragrance is the bees sweet signature scent. These beeswax ornaments are fragrance free and will last forever, with normal care. They make a great PICK ME up or THINKING OF YOU unique gift. They can be used year round and hung anywhere in your home. Gentle heat or soft rays from the sun will help activate and emit the natural sweet honey scent.
These are meant to be displayed all year long, however, the tradition of beeswax ornaments goes back many centuries. I love to hang these in my window (picture above) as the light can filter thru. They also are enjoyable hanging from a curtain rod, ceiling light, lamp pull, bedpost, shower rod, etc. Beeswax ornaments date back to the middle ages (1500's) and were a staple item at the German Christmas markets. German bakers would use their Springele cookie molds to create stunning beeswax ornaments. These also make great favors for showers and weddings. I have molds for specific occasions and celebrations.
All real beeswax develops a white powdery coating, called bloom. It is a harmless substance that can coat your wax at any time, it is said to occur from the changes in the chemical makeup of the beeswax when it is heated and then cooled. It is almost the same as when honey crystallizes. So many nectar substances; glucose and fructose, that the crystallization comes out as bloom on wax. It is the wax patina! Some prefer to leave this just like you would the patina of a fine antique. Others prefer to wipe the bloom off the wax. This happens alto to pure beeswax candles. I prefer to use my hairdryer on medium or high setting for about 5 seconds to "freshen" the wax and remove the bloom .The heat from the dryer helps release the honey scent of the wax.
